past. present. future.
A passion and fascination for music technology lead Miguel to pursue a career in the recording industry, firstly acquiring formal education via a Bachelor of Audio Production through SAE Institute in 2011. He graduated top of his class and received SAE's highest educational honour, the Academic Achievement Award.
After graduating, Miguel developed his industry experience through roles in live sound, live broadcast television and as a Tutor and Studio Technician at SAE. In his role as Studio Technician, Miguel's daily interaction with studio equipment and designing and maintaining studio facilities led to a thorough understanding of professional audio gear, recording and mixing techniques and advanced studio signal flow.
Under the guidance of the team at the Soundfield Studio, Miguel has continued to develop his studio skills by assisting on multiple projects varying in size and scope, including recording and editing, mixing and mastering work. With a focus and love for guitar and all things detuned and chugging, genres such as rock and metal are his forte, though Miguel is open and enthused to work on any and all genres.
